EverRide is announcing a safety campaign on 48' and 52" Deck Hornet Mowers.

Affected Units:
48 inch and 52 inch Deck Hornet Mowers.  All should be checked, even though very few Hornet Mowers left the factory with the bypass items in place in the harness.

Reason for Campaign:
Some Hornets may have left the factory with a bypass in the seat switch connection of the wiring harness.  The harness must be looked at, and if not correctly connected to the seat switch, the bypass MUST BE REMOVED and the wiring harness connected to the seat switch.  See information found on page 54 of the Operator's Manual for connecting the harness to the seat switch.

EverRide Action:
Warranty will be authorized as follows.  Warranty labor to the dealer of .25 hour (1/4 hour) will be allowed to remove the bypass.  Both removed spade terminals must be flattened and scotch taped to the Detailed Description of Failure area on the white copy of the EverRide warranty claim form.  Also write
"Performed Seat Bypass Campaign, EH05011"
in the Detailed Description of Failure area to receive warranty credit.

EverRide is announcing a safety recall campaign on 2004 and early 2005 Warrior Zero-Turn Mowers.

Affected Units:
All Generation 1 - ZKW2554, ZKW2560, ZKH2754, and ZKH2760 Mowers. Early Generation 2 - ZKW2554, ZKW2560, ZKH2754, and ZKH2760 Mowers. (The 5th digit of the serial number, 1 or 2, indicates the unit generation.)

Reason for Campaign:
All noted Warrior Mowers were produced with fuel caps that can pulsate fuel through the cap vent if the tank is overfilled. Heat expansion is also created by sunlight that is absorbed by the black fuel tank. Mower operation on moderately rough terrain then causes vehicle bounce that further enhances the fuel to vent.

EverRide Action:
EverRide will provide each of our distributors with a sufficient supply of fuel caps for all Warrior Mowers that were shipped to that distributorship for his dealer organization. EverRide will begin sending notification letters to all registered Warrior owners beginning on May 30, 2005, informing them to contact their EverRide dealer. The dealer will inspect, and if necessary, install or provide new fuel caps free of charge.

Statement:
Liquid gasoline being vented through the fuel cap has the potential for fire. There have been no accidents or injuries due to this condition to date. In an effort to avoid that possibility, and to further insure a high level of customer safety and satisfaction, EverRide will work very closely with the EverRide Distributor and Dealer organization to promptly address this issue.
